IT ARRIVED!

After impatiently waiting about a week, the motor is finally here. I don't appreciate the price hike over the last 6 months but thus is life, still worth the money. Motor came in great shape from JDM West Coast in Sante Fe, California. Did a compression test and we are at 180 on all 4 cyl so it should just need a seal and gasket refresh aswell as new timing components. The real work begins...

Updates 2021

After a long hiatus, I'm back at it again pushing the hatch into another phase of its life. The goal is a super fun and reliable street car that would do a few weekend track sessions a year. The most logical approach to achieve this was a 5th generation 3sge motor known as the blacktop beams from an Altezza RS200. The J160  6speed transmission along with the existing weir 4.778 ring and pinion should pair for a very quick responsive car on the street and track. Follow along as we pull the 16v 4a that went in 5 years ago to make repairs, improvements and really make this chassis become what I had envisioned all those years ago.
